Pursuing a Vision of Excellence
Eric Youngblood is our Q2 ‘Enthusiastic’ award winner. He wants to win and strives for great results each day. This has been a catalyst to the growth of Fasteners Plus.
In 2020, he has set out to achieve growth of more than 50% YoY. It’s happening.
He also set the goal of committing to investing in others, teaching and sharing knowledge, setting clear expectations and empowering others to own their impact. He’s doing it.
As this is occurring, Eric has also set a goal to take time to celebrate success and recognize the contributions of his team members. It is resulting in having fun while working hard to achieve success.

How long have you worked at Clickstop?

What brought you to Clickstop?
I was unhappy with where I was at in my previous job, so I started looking to get on the career path I really wanted. There was an opening for E-Commerce marketing here and that’s what I really wanted to do. Once I job shadowed here and met all the amazing, hard-working people here, I knew it’s where I wanted to be.
What effect has this recognition had upon you?
Working to be even more enthusiastic about our team’s growth and all the brand growth that’s happening. Everyone working from home has definitely made this more challenging, so it definitely takes more effort to be proactive with communicating enthusiasm with the team.
What do you believe has led up to this recognition?
I set out this year to work with more people, teach others and share my knowledge. Making that a priority has really helped create more connectedness between our shared services and the Fasteners Plus team, leading to growth for the brand and everyone working on it.
Who has supported you in achieving these results?
The entire Fasteners Plus sales team and Leverage have really helped achieve all the amazing results we are seeing this year. Sales is absolutely crushing it and Leverage has helped with many projects such as email marketing, the Conquest website and helping to write product and page copy.
What is a recent challenge / obstacle you’ve overcome through the behaviors within this Core Trait?
The biggest obstacle has been working remote. Not being able to see everyone in person or to have meetings and training remote has made it harder to spread enthusiasm. Settling in and using technology like Microsoft teams to our advantage has really helped overcome communication obstacles of working remote
What should people know about working at Clickstop?
It’s one of the very few places where you can work in a true entrepreneurial fashion with autonomy. If you have a goal of getting into any kind of role, you can absolutely get to where you want to be if you work on self-development and communicate open and honestly.
If you had to pick one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mexican Food!
What is the coolest/craziest place you ever been to?
The Taco Bell Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas where I got married last year.
What is your favorite activity that you like to do with your family?
Going fishing/boating with everyone. It’s an activity all of the kids love to do.
If you could never have to do one chore for the rest of life, what would it be?
I would love to never have to do dishes again.
