Jenny Rapp Goes Above and Beyond to Support Team Members

Enthusiasm involves more than rooting for the success of others. It requires getting your hands dirty and coming alongside team members to challenge them to become the best version of themselves. This level of enthusiasm is first demonstrated, then promoted through encouragement, support and accountability.

Anyone who knows Jenny Rapp knows that she is the manufacturing team’s biggest fan and that she goes above and beyond to make everyone feel seen and appreciated. She’s also focused on the quality work and great execution. She makes time to celebrate, keeps track of every birthday and anniversary, and provides cards to each team member. Even when production demands are high, she finds a way to display appreciation for her team. She even made Christmas stockings for every 1st and 2nd shift production team member!

She operates according to our safety procedures and is an advocate for enforcing and revising protocol to protect herself and others. Enforcing and upholding the safety procedures while working to improve where possible is where she is challenging us to become better than we were yesterday.

For her work in Q4, we are please to provide double honor to Jenny by recognizing her as our ‘Safety’ and ‘Enthusiastic’ award winner.  Well done, Jenny!

The Interview

What is your role at Clickstop?

Manufacturing Team Lead/Runner

How long have you worked at Clickstop?

6 Years

What makes this recognition meaningful to you?

My priority here is always the people I work with and their well-being and safety so being recognized for these core traits means a lot to me.

How are the behaviors within this Core Trait / Safety Award critical for our ongoing success?

In order to be successful as a team and/or company I think it is crucial to focus on safety and to care deeply about each other and the work we do.  Taking time to celebrate our team and teammates is what keeps us motivated.

Within our Core Values, what is one area you are seeking growth? What difference will it make?

My goal this year is to seek growth in staying positive in negative situations. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s not going well.  I am going to focus more on finding the good in these situations and/or doing what I can to improve them.

What should people know about working at Clickstop?

Clickstop is a great place to work if you want to be a part of a team environment and collaborate with others to continue to make it a place people enjoy coming to every day.  There is a great work/life balance here.

Do you dance when no one is looking?

Absolutely-and it isn’t pretty.  That’s why I do it when no one is looking 😊

What’s the strangest food you’ve ever eaten?

Alligator-and for me that is pretty crazy!

You’re in the circus, would you rather be the person with their head inside the lion’s mouths or get shot out of the cannon?

Shot out of a cannon-that would be exciting.  (no way to putting my head in a lion’s mouth…scary and pretty gross.

What is one thing you loved as a child that today’s kids would know nothing about?

Big Wheels.  Those were so much fun, and everyone would pedal sooo fast!  That would be a great workout for me now!  They could also be pretty dangerous.  I lived at the bottom of a hill and of course there was a sharp turn at the bottom.  I wiped out pretty bad at least once.

Would you rather be able to breathe underwater or have the agility of a cat?

Both would be fantastic abilities, but I will go with breathing under water since drowning is a fear of mine and I am afraid of cats. 😊

What is the coolest/craziest place you ever been to?

Well, living in Iowa seems pretty crazy right about now with this weather!

How come you never read about a psychic winning the lottery?

Is this a trick question?  It seems pretty deep, Jeremy 😊 This would involve an in-depth discussion.

What is your favorite activity that you like to do with your family?

Playing games.  Family favorites are Balderdash and Telestrations (we are all pretty sarcastic so we laugh pretty hard playing these games.)  Another favorite activity is going to sporting events and concerts-hopefully we can start doing that again sometime soon!

When things break, do you prefer to fix them or replace them?

Fix them if possible.

In what situation or place would you feel the most out of place in?

Speaking in front of a large group of people-especially if I don’t know them.

When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?

I don’t know-I will just be ecstatic if children want to talk to me!

If you had 5 million dollars tomorrow, how would you spend the rest of your life?

Living in a cozy place somewhere near the beach hopefully with my boys nearby.  If not, I guess I would have the means to visit them or for them to come visit often.

What is the silliest way you’ve been injured?

Hmm, I do still have a scar on my wrist from the sharp part of a saran wrap box from about 25 years ago.

What’s your worst bug-related story?

All of them are bad, aren’t they?  I once had a sore throat for 2 days from screaming so much trying to get a spider in the bathroom. (and my youngest said to me, Mom!  You’re going to disturb the neighbors!)

If you could ask your pet 3 questions, what would they be?

Does the baby voice I use when I talk to you annoy you?  What is appealing about eating Q-tips out of the garbage?   Why does EVERY noise scare you?

What’s something you get wrong almost every time you do it?

Baking.  Unless it’s from a box!

What do you dislike but have no good reason for disliking?

Seeds in my fruit. If I accidently bite into one it makes me want to throw up. I don’t get it-it’s not gross but for some reason it grosses me out.
