The Interview
What is your role at Clickstop?
Marketing Director
How long have you worked here?
5 years
What makes this recognition meaningful to you?
I think communication can make or break a project or a relationship. The quality of the communication impacts the quality of the output. Communication is something that I strive to do really well, and it is nice to know that others see the effort and attention I have put into it.
What is your most meaningful accomplishment from this past quarter?
When looking back on the last quarter, I am most proud of the accomplishments of my team. They supported website implementations, integrated new software, added hundreds of new products, and coordinated and promoted the opening of new stores. They have eagerly filled gaps that existed on other teams and continue to keep focus on the most impactful company initiatives.
What is one area you are seeking growth? What difference will it make?
I am always trying to improve the way and frequency in which I provide recognition. Letting people know that they did a good job and that their contributions are appreciated and impactful is not just nice – it helps to create a pattern of these types of behaviors that lead to meaningful growth for the people and the company.
How have others supported your growth while at Clickstop?
Throughout my time at Clickstop I have had a group of peers and leaders around me who support my development and push me to grow. They encourage and enable me to take on new opportunities and learn to contribute in new ways.
Whether you’re working from home or onsite, what has been your biggest challenge navigating a new work environment? How have you sought to overcome that challenge?
Getting to know new employees has been difficult without the random run-ins and hallway conversations. Participating in team meetings and book clubs has been a great way to meet some of the newbies.
Do you dance when no one is looking?
Yes.
Would you rather be able to breathe underwater or have the agility of a cat?
Breathe under water. I move like a sloth and I am just fine with that.
What is your favorite activity that you do with your family?
We enjoy going golfing together or just hanging out at home, playing outside on a nice day.
When things break, do you prefer to fix them or replace them?
Fix them.
