Lisa Mathews Keeping Things Moving Forward and Creating Impact

Everyone creates an impact.  So, why have we chosen to highlight it as a Core Trait of our organization?

We’re focused on the behaviors that lead to positive impact. Persistence in working towards the goal while shouldering a weight of responsibility to ensure we’re successful is a part of being impactful.  Courage in communication and decision-making leads to greater productivity, efficiency, and fulfillment of deadlines.

These are actions that contribute to the growth of our business.

Taking Ownership and Making it Happen

Lisa Mathews was ‘Impactful’ during Q4 as she supported the integration of our new phone system.  She made herself available to the Sales team as they provided feedback on their experience.  When issues arose, she was methodical in her approach to rightly understanding what was occurring and what needed to change.  She remained in close communication until the problem was resolved.

We’re pleased to have recognized Lisa as our Q4 ‘Impactful’ award winner.  Well done, Lisa!

The Interview

What is your role at Clickstop?

NetSuite Analyst

How long have you worked at Clickstop?

10 years

What effect has this recognition had upon you?

I very much appreciate the acknowledgement of the work that I’ve done, but more so the effect this has on me is a reminder that I need to pay it forward and do a better job of recognizing my peers.

What do you believe has led up to this recognition?

I always strive to view issues holistically in order to address the real problem and avoid band-aid fixes as much as possible.  The Communication System project was a great opportunity to reimagine how we were doing phone and chat and start over with a new solid foundation that we can build on for years to come.

What are ways you’ve challenged yourself to live out and grow within the Core Values?

I like to get involved in a lot of different types of projects because they all offer their own unique challenges, which pushes me to try new approaches and utilize a variety of skills.

How do you ensure your work is aligning with our mission, values, strategies and goals?

Step one is to ensure that every project has a clearly defined goal, because if you’re not clear on the outcome you are trying to achieve, then it’s not possible to ensure that the outcome aligns with our company mission and goals.

Secondly, I ask a lot of questions, and invite others to question my approach.

Third, I’m usually always evaluating the impact of my work with two lenses – how does it impact our company and how we work, and how does it impact our customers and how they experience our brands.

Why is this Core Trait important to the success of Clickstop?

There will always be a never-ending list of the things that we could do as a company.  Our success relies on which ones we choose to tackle based on the greatest impact.

What brought you to Clickstop?

I was previously in an industry that was declining, so I was looking for a company that was growing and doing new things.

What keeps you at Clickstop?

Endless opportunities to try new things and contribute in new and different ways.

Why should others want to work at Clickstop?

Clickstop is an environment where employees don’t have to fit into a mold, and instead are valued for their unique perspectives and contributions.

If you had to pick one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Pasta.  All varieties.

If you could never have to do one chore for the rest of life, what would it be?

Wash dishes.

What do you dislike but have no good reason for disliking?

Wearing shoes.  I would just wear flip flops year-round if it wasn’t for snow and freezing temperatures.
