Q2 Curious Award: John Spanczak

John Spanczak - Award WinnerThose who know John Spanczak know he thrives on thinking big and seeing the global perspective. Even before his current role as Director of Employee Experience, he was passionate about improving how companies approach employee development.

When his time came in 2022 to execute his big idea, he created Clickstop’s new PURSUE Learning & Development program. His curiosity for improving the employee experience transformed into a program that is rooted in understanding Clickstoppers shared and unique experiences.

One size does not fit all

“He won’t settle for a ‘one size fits all’ approach. John knows we can make a great impact on individuals, teams, and the company if we meet people where they are.” – Nominator

The impact of the program reaches beyond the employee. It seeks to understand Clickstoppers as people. As you’ll hear John say, “when we transform the lives of people, they can transform Clickstop.” No matter the size of the group or length of the conversation, the work he’s doing and the conversations he’s facilitating have a ripple effect on our people and the company’s mindset.

John’s curiosity didn’t stop after he created PURSUE. With each event and interaction, he tracked the attendance and feedback to make it better the next time.

In the first three months of the program, John empowered Clickstoppers to host 18 PURSUE workshops that related to something meaningful to them and connected them to their coworkers. And in the rest of 2022, he has nearly 20 more employees raising their hands to host these events.

The stories coming from those events provide proof of how Clickstop can create a dynamic workplace through connecting people to purpose, community, and growth. Those connections open doors and allow people to have conversations that turn into new and meaningful opportunities.

John continues to create an empowering structure that allows Clickstoppers to grow toward their best selves and therefore create the best version of Clickstop. For that reason, John is Clickstop’s Q2 Curious Award winner.
