Q4 2018 Core Value Award Winner: Expect Greatness In Yourself & Inspire It In Others

Lonnie Vanderpool_2018 Q4 Expect Greatness

Inspiring greatness in others with an expectation of excellence is one way we display our enthusiasm for Clickstop’s mission.  This expectation of excellence is broadcast through both the work done and how the individual approaches doing his work.  Attention to detail, commitment to meeting and exceeding expectations, looking for alternative solutions, getting beyond band-aid fixes and possessing a can-do attitude are all approaches that regularly produce excellent results.

Speed & Accuracy

Two years ago, US Cargo Control began selling products through Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP).  USCC had been selling on Amazon since 2010, but we enrolled in SFP to allow us to ship items from Urbana and still have the Prime badge.  The initial volume was around 50 orders per month but has grown to exceed 1800 orders per month.  The man who has handled the bulk of these orders is Lonnie Vanderpool.  He has been instrumental in helping grow the Amazon business.

In 2018, Lonnie shipped out 9,336 packages through Amazon, and his accuracy rate was 99.71%.  His standards of performance in the work that he does match the standards that we must set to make the most of this opportunity.  Through a combination of speed and accuracy, Lonnie helps to complete a great customer experience through Amazon.

Bring Your Best

Lonnie’s shipment performance is one reason he’s receiving this award, but it’s not the only one.  He has also continued to grow in his encouragement of others.  Lonnie is routinely helping his team members when assistance is requested.  And as he works alongside them, he is encouraging them to give their best effort and to do the right thing for the team.

It’s a combination of how he works and the work that he does that has resulted in him being recognized as our Q4 2018 Core Value Award Winner for Expect Greatness and Inspire It in Others.  Well done, Lonnie!

The Interview

What is your role at Clickstop?

Amazon Team Leader

How long have you worked at Clickstop?

5.5 years

How did you feel upon being recognized for this award?

Shocked and Honored

What do you believe has led up to this recognition?

Driving people to give their best each day, and the job I’ve done with Amazon

Have you had struggles within this Core Value?

I have struggled at times.  I hold myself to a high standard, and I want that from everyone here at Clickstop.  There are times when you know someone has a little more, but just needs that extra push or encouragement.

What is this Core Value important to the success of Clickstop?

Everyone should expect greatness in themselves.  It’s what makes Clickstop, Clickstop.  Everyone that works here desires to be great and wants to encourage it in others.

What can we find you doing when you’re not at work?

Kayaking and rock hunting.

What brought you to Clickstop?

I was struggling with my old job.  I used to deliver office supplies, and one day, I had a late afternoon delivery at Clickstop.  As I was talking to Debbie about the difficulties I was facing, she brought it to my attention that Clickstop was hiring.  Long story short, here I sit 5 years later.  Thank you, Debbie!

What keeps you at Clickstop?

Other than the fact that it’s a great job…it’s the people I get to work with.

If you could live in any period of history, when would it be and why?

Not so much a period of history, but I’d love to be my grandfather’s best friend growing up.  I didn’t get the opportunity to be with him as much as I wanted to.

What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish?

Full Metal Jacket!  That’s all I need to say. 😊

Do you spend time researching your ancestry?  If so, why?

Yes.  It’s interesting finding out where your ancestors are from.  Apparently, I come from royalty!  I have yet to see it though.  Lol
