You are here: Home / Core Values / Tessa is our Q3 ‘Safety’ Award Winner

December 9, 2019 By Jeremy Meyer Leave a Comment

Tessa is our Q3 ‘Safety’ Award Winner

We desire to send people home in as good or better condition than when they arrived.  This means we all must act responsibly for our own and each other’s safety.  For that reason, we set aside time each quarter to recognize an individual who has gone above and beyond in holding themselves and others accountable to our expectations of safety.

Tessa Scadden is our most recent ‘Safety’ award recipient.  She looks out for the safety of others.  When she sees someone without the proper personal protection equipment, Tessa asks if she can assist them in getting what they need.  Ultimately, it’s about providing protection for others, not just fulfilling the duty.

She has been heard by individuals across multiple teams, extending reminders with confidence and respect.  Recently, she recently took the initiative to send out a company-wide email reminding us all to wear our PPE when entering manufacturing.

Thank you, Tessa, for keeping our safety top of mind and for boldly holding us accountable when we overlook the small details that keep us all safe.  Well done!

The Interview

What is your role at Clickstop?

Manufacturing Associate

How long have you worked at Clickstop?

4 years

How did you feel upon being recognized for this award?

Shocked

What do you believe has led up to this recognition?

I make sure that people are using walk ways if they do not have steal toe shoes, I make sure that everyone has safety glasses on when entering MFG, and I make sure that equipment is put away so that it does not become a tripping hazard.  Holding others to the safety expectation is important to me.

Have you had struggles within the Safety Expectations?  If so, what have they been and how did you overcome them?

I try not to struggle with safety, but I am pretty accident prone.  I just try to be aware of how I am doing things.  I try to make sure that we all work as ergonomically as possible and offer solutions to problems.

Why is this Core Trait important to the success of Clickstop?

Keeping everyone safe reduces cost and allows for us to all go home the way we came in.

What brought you to Clickstop?

I was looking for something close to home and flexible with my family.  Clickstop fit perfectly.

What keeps you at Clickstop?

The flexibility and opportunity.

Why should others want to work at Clickstop?

Clickstop is just GREAT!!  Endless opportunity, challenging and you can drive your own success.

If you had to pick one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chips!  Chips are my weakness!!

Do you a nickname(s)? If so, what is it? Why is it your nickname?

Sis – My Dad and sisters call me this.

If you could never have to do one chore for the rest of life, what would it be?

Taking out the trash!!!
