It’s time for another Q1 Core Value winner story! Jamie Farmer received the award for Think Big and Make it Happen in Q1. Here’s what she had to say:
Tell me about opportunity at Clickstop.
Jamie: My career has been completely self driven here at Clickstop. If you want to advance in your career there are many resources throughout the company that can help you get where you want to go. My managers and the Talent Enrichment team have been very resourceful and have given me many opportunities for personal and professional development.
What is your favorite part about working at Clickstop?
Jamie: The Culture. I come to work with the company’s Core Values in the forefront of my mind and when we all operate this way it just makes work FUN! My coworkers make coming to work everyday a true pleasure. They truly are my family away from home.
How do you relate to the core value: Think Big and Make it Happen?
Jamie: I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career if it wasn’t for the “Think Big and Make it Happen” core value. My managers have always pushed me to think outside the box and to not wait for others to come up with ideas to expand the tarps team. Research and development is one of my favorite aspects to my job because it allows me “Think Big,” and I know the possibilities for improvement are endless.
What advice do you give to others who want to embrace this core value?
Jamie: Don’t keep your thoughts and ideas to yourself. Share them all! There truly is no idea that is too small or large. The most minuscule idea could make a tremendous impact on the success to the company! Sometimes you may need to share your ideas multiple times or to multiple people to get the idea across, but if you truly believe in your idea don’t give up! Where I believe people get hung up on this Core Value is the “Making it Happen” part. You can think big all day long but unless you put your words and thoughts into action nothing will change. Create some prototypes, gather concrete data and information, write up a proposal, reach out to resources throughout the company who might have a different perspective than you. If you want it bad enough, you can make it happen!
What are your major goals at Clickstop? How are you going to make it happen?
Jamie: I would eventually like to expand the tarps team in size and in capabilities. This is going to require a lot of research and development because we will definitely need more working space, equipment, and staff. I know we haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of what we are capable of manufacturing. The future looks bright and its very exciting!
Congrats to Jamie, and stay tuned for more recognition videos on our winners next week!
