2024 Dream Big Scholarship Winners

Clickstop is thrilled to announce the recipients of the Dream Big Scholarship for 2024. This scholarship program reflects our commitment to supporting local students in their pursuit of higher education beyond high school. Each year, we award four $500 scholarships to deserving individuals who embody our company’s core values, contribute to their communities, and demonstrate a passion for learning.

The Dream Big Scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.7 who attend Vinton-Shellsburg or Center Point-Urbana High School, are current Clickstop employees, or are children of Clickstop employees.

Meet our four recipients selected from an outstanding group of their peers:

Sophia Vasquez, a senior at Vinton-Shellsburg Community School, has a passion for education that was evident in her application. Inspired by her time volunteering at Tilford Elementary's Summer School Program, she dreams of becoming an elementary school teacher. Sophia's enthusiasm, optimism, and genuine commitment to uplifting others stood out as aligning with Clickstop's core values. Through her extensive involvement in community service and leadership roles like being an active member of the National Honor Society, Sophia has consistently demonstrated a deep sense of responsibility and a sincere desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Kelcie Appleby, a senior at Vinton-Shellsburg High School, is a natural-born leader. With a commendable GPA of 3.783, Kelcie is charting her course to Iowa State University, where she aspires to study Event Management with additional minors in business-related fields. Her involvement in things initiatives like HACAP's Operation Backpack, Coats for Kids, and the Vinton Public Library showcase her willingness to invest in herself, her peers, and her community. Kelcie's pursuit of excellence and her fervent desire to create memorable experiences for others clearly embody Clickstop's core values of expecting greatness and fostering a winning team spirit.

Dakota Johnson, a senior at Center Point-Urbana High School, exemplifies determination and leadership. With an impressive GPA of 3.939, Dakota has set his sights on South Dakota State University, where he plans to pursue studies in Agriculture Systems Technology. His active participation in Boy Scouts and FFA has instilled in him a profound sense of community and a strong desire to serve others. Dakota's commitment to giving back to his community and his fervent passion for agriculture stood out as embodying Clickstop's values of impactfulness and responsibility.

Ava Maloney, also a senior at Center Point-Urbana High School, is distinguished by her unwavering dedication to community service and her compassionate spirit. Boasting a GPA of 3.69, Ava intends to further her education at Kirkwood Community College, where she plans to pursue a degree in radiology. Her involvement in initiatives like Miracle League Buddy Program to students with disabilities, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, or the Cedar Valley Humane Society underscores her deep commitment to supporting those in need. Ava's enthusiasm, empathy, and willingness to go the extra mile resonate deeply with Clickstop's core values and made her a clear selection for the scholarship.

As these exceptional students embark on their educational journeys, Clickstop is proud to support them in their pursuit of excellence. We believe that investing in the next generation of leaders is essential for creating a brighter future for our community and beyond.
