A Fastest Growing Company for a Record 9th Time!
For a record ninth time, Clickstop has been honored by the Corridor Business Journal (CBJ) as one of the top 25 “Fastest Growing Companies” in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area!
The most featured business in the program’s 12-year run, Clickstop came in at #20 on this year’s list, posting approximately 50% growth from 2016-2018. The annual “Fastest Growing Companies” event identifies and honors the region’s most effectual companies that have made noteworthy contributions to our local economy, and honorees of the program are ranked according to their revenue growth over a two-year period (with both dollar and percentage increases taken into consideration). CPA firm Honkamp, Krueger and Co. worked to privately confirm the logistics for each business this year, and the official rankings of the top 25 companies were publicly announced at the event on June 5.
With nearly 20 Clickstop employees in attendance, there were many claps and cheers to celebrate this year’s fantastic accomplishment! Clickstop first debuted the list at 4th in 2009 and had many more listings to come. The continued rankings were: 5th in 2010, 4th in 2011, 3rd in 2012, 15th in 2013, 23rd in 2015, 14th in 2016, and 23rd in 2017.
As a company, Clickstop owns and operates a quite diverse grouping of brands from its headquarters in Urbana, IA. They offer everything from transportation products to marketing services to some of the world’s hottest pepper seeds! Their flagship brand US Cargo Control, which sells rigging equipment and moving supplies, accounts for close to 85% of the company’s overall sales. Certainly an impressive display of entrepreneurship!
CEO Tim Guenther, alongside his wife Nicole, have no plans to slow down the pace, and attribute fast growth and success to a driven and engaged team. The company is gearing up for even more acceleration into 2020 and beyond; this means eyeing more opportunities for growth and considering multiple strategies to cut production and delivery time of products and services.
Getting customers what they want, when they need it is not only the motto of USCC, but an expectation of many customers,” Guenther stated. “Aligning our operations with customer expectations and providing two-to-three-day shipping nationwide is what the market demands.”
