A Decade at Clickstop: Ed Duran

Focused on Growth
Sticking with the ISS team and the same position throughout his time at Clickstop, his journey exemplifies an avenue of growth that should not be overlooked.
With experience in leadership before coming to Clickstop, Ed wasn’t looking for that role but still wanted opportunities to grow within his own position. He explains he has never felt stuck in the position because the phone calls and work he does are different every day. The sales team’s daily collaboration with other departments also helps to keep things interesting.
Along with this Ed says it’s the work he does behind the scenes that he feels really makes an impact. “I get to help train all different roles and I’m satisfied knowing I’m a part of the bigger picture. What I do makes a difference because the more you help others the more the company will succeed.”
Lastly, his competitive edge allows him to continue to grow every day. “I’m more competitive against myself than anything. I want to do my job to the best of my ability and then some.”
Most Memorable Accomplishment
When reflecting on his most memorable accomplishments, Ed recalls making two of the biggest sales in Clickstop history. Both orders netted sales for Clickstop’s flagship brand, US Cargo Control. The more recent of the two came out to be nearly $500,000. Because the Sales Team isn’t commission-based, Ed’s success was the team’s success.
“There was a going that we rang back then,” says Ed. “We just had a good hoot and a holler around the office that day.”
Ed attributes his success to the work-life balance that Clickstop provides. He says he can give a 110% or more while at work knowing that he can always take time to be with his family when it is needed.
Leveling Up
Now when Ed wants to spend time with his family, he has unlocked a new benefit to use. Clickstop offers employees celebrating milestone anniversaries two different sabbaticals:
- 5 years of service: Clickstoppers are eligible for a partially paid, up to 12-week Freedom Retreat.
- 10 years of service: Clickstoppers are eligible for a fully paid, up to 4-week sabbatical.
“I mean who does that?” says Ed. “A fully paid sabbatical is unbelievable, and the freedom retreat is great too!”
Ed and his wife are looking forward to planning something special for his well-deserved sabbatical.
