Hands-On Roles: Earn While You Learn
Many of our students start in our Warehouse and Manufacturing teams. These roles are perfect for building a strong work ethic and learning “the work we do” from the ground up.
In these roles, you are physically creating the products our customers rely on.
Sewing
- You’ll learn how to read work orders, select the right materials, and use industrial machinery to build high-quality products.
Packing
- You’ll stay on your feet and stay moving. This role involves understanding packaging requirements and ensuring every order is packed safely and accurately. These roles are great for people who enjoy staying active. You’ll regularly lift up to 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Cut and Wind Stations
- You’ll stay active by cutting and preparing products to match exactly what the customer ordered.
Cargo Nets, Nylon Slings, Chain Slings
- Typically for those 18+, these roles involve building custom products for our brand, US Cargo Control. These positions are often a great stepping stone into other areas of the company.
Help us get orders out the door and into the hands of our customers. Our warehouse teams ensure we deliver on our “Brand Promise” every single day: Getting customers what they want when they need it.
Small Packaging (Small Pack)
You’ll pick orders accurately using picking lists, audit them for quality, and pack them neatly and securely. You’ll also learn to use our business software (ERP) to finalize the orders for shipping.
Receiving & Inventory
You’ll help keep our inventory organized and accurate. This includes performing quality checks on new products, restocking shelves so items are ready to ship, and performing “cycle counts” to make sure our numbers are always correct.
LTL (Large Shipments)
You’ll follow standard procedures for picking and packing our largest orders. This involves preparing items for third-party freight shipping and maintaining detailed records of every shipment leaving the building.
