Mitch Fekaris is Shaping Culture Through Teamwork

Q2 Quarterly Recognition - Mitch Fekaris - General Manager East Coast Distribution Center (ECDC)

At Clickstop, we recognize results by celebrating the people behind them.

Every quarter, we spotlight employees who are living out our core values in ways that drive growth, teamwork, and a better future for our company and each other.

At our Q2 Recognition Event, themed around Teamwork, we honored those whose ripple effect is reaching far beyond their own roles. And when it comes to creating a culture shift and uniting teams across locations, Mitch Fekaris is making waves.

Mitch joined Clickstop’s ECDC facility in Simpsonville, South Carolina not even one year ago. Historically, the facility had developed its own operating style, marked by resistance to change. But Mitch approached this challenge with curiosity rather than criticism, and collaboration rather than control.

After spending time in Urbana last fall, Mitch focused on observing how things were done, and understanding why they were done that way. And he didn’t leave that insight behind when he headed back to South Carolina. He got to work applying what he learned. Over time, his team began requesting similar equipment, restructuring workflows, and—even more importantly—mirroring the mindset they saw in Urbana. Mitch wasn’t enforcing change. He was inspiring it.

The improvements have been more than operational. It is the cultural shift of that team that’s earning him recognition.

The results are impressive, and so is Mitch’s approach:

  • Courageous – Mitch hasn’t shied away from tackling resistance. He’s challenged “the way it’s always been” with respect, openness, and a willingness to model something better.
  • Curious – He’s eager to learn, quick to adapt, and always asking, What can we do better? That mindset has helped him bridge gaps between two very different locations and bring people along for the ride.
  • Responsible – Mitch doesn’t wait for change. He owns it. He’s accountable to both performance and culture, and that combination is creating lasting impact.
  • Enthusiastic – His positive attitude and appreciation for Clickstop’s culture have been contagious. His belief in what’s possible has reignited a sense of pride and progress within his team.

As one of our leaders shared, “If things weren’t going well at our South Carolina distribution center, it might’ve held us back from imagining future growth. But Mitch’s success is helping pave the way for what’s next.”

By taking what’s working in Urbana and empowering his team to make it their own, Mitch is proving what’s possible when you lead with values, stay curious, and believe in empowering a team.
