Adam Shouse Pushes Himself to Create Great Impact
Big impact occurs as a result of great ownership. Impactful team members achieve the results that align with what’s most meaningful to the organization.
In Q3 of 2020, Adam Shouse created a great impact.
He is the named account manager on hundreds of active accounts, accumulating several million dollars in sales through the end of the quarter. Additionally, he has a growing list of prospects and is responsible for a third of the Top 100 targets, having already won 6 of them!
His dedication to the industry and the customers has helped him build solid relationships over the years. This has fueled his string of consecutive record-breaking months and culminated with a 1 million dollar month in October.
Shouse does all of this with a can-do attitude and a focus on great results. He is never too busy to take ownership of what needs to be done and seeks to boost team morale and inspire greatness along the way.
Adam is the first to share the recognition with the entire team, but today we want to take a moment to acknowledge just how much impact Adam had on the business in Q3 of 2020. Well done, Adam!

What effect has this recognition had upon you?
It’s always humbling to receive recognition like this. I often find myself reflecting on all the people and teams I interact with daily that make results happen. It’s something I don’t take for granted.
How has our high expectation of aligned action with our Core Values impacted you inside and outside of work?
I think it helps keep me focused on where I can make the greatest impact not only within my role at work, but also at home. I want to be the best version of myself I can be always professionally and personally, and the values we have help keep me on track as to what is important.
How have you taken ownership of your growth?
I am always actively seeking learning opportunities or ways I can learn more about the industry I work in. I’m passionate about the trucking industry and the people who work within it. They are truly awesome people who I enjoy working with on a regular basis. I try to stay up-to-date on industry news, trends, products, etc and that allows me to keep building my knowledge to be the best I can be for the company and our customers.
Who has helped to challenge and inspire your growth during your Clickstop journey?
Wow. This is a tough one for me. I would really credit a lot of my growth to Tim Sanders. Since I started at Clickstop I always strived to become as knowledgeable as he is when it comes to the industry and the products we provide. I am always thankful that he is willing to lend an ear and collaborate with me on opportunities or questions I have. He is someone who through his daily actions pushes me to me a better employee for USCC and our customers. I’m very thankful to have him on my team on a daily. I also think the entire team I am surrounded by pushes me to be better. Everyone working here has different strengths that help me understand where I lack in strengths and where I need to focus my time on growth and development.
What message do you have for your team members?
Find what you’re passionate about, and then impact becomes much easier to understand and achieve. I think this was tough for me early in my professional career as I was looking for that role that really fit with my strengths. Once I found that role and it aligned with my goals, the impact was easier to see and the results were a result of being fully engaged in the work I was doing. Don’t sit and wait for the role to come to you, find a way to make it happen for yourself.
If you inherited a private jet from a stranger, what would you do with it?
I’d probably take my family and friends somewhere tropical and spend a couple weeks relaxing and hanging out with some good food, drinks, and conversations. Especially after 2020 and the lack of social interaction I’d just like to be around people and share laughs and good memories.
If you had to work but didn’t need the money, what would you choose to do?
I would probably work on a golf course mowing fairways, rolling greens, and raking sand traps. I love taking care of grass.
If you could be a member of any TV-sitcom family/group of friends, which would it be?
I recently watched Yellowstone, and I’d like to hang out with the ranch hands in the bunkhouse. They are a good group of people who work hard/play hard. I’d enjoy seeing that part of the world as well.
What would be the best thing about not having a sense of smell?
Well with our second child on the way in March, not smelling diapers would be a huge plus for the next year or so. 😊
