How Morgan Turns Curiosity into Ownership at Work

Recognition at Clickstop starts with our people

Each quarter, we recognize employee-owners who bring our core values to life in ways that strengthen our teams, our culture, and our future.

This quarter, we are recognizing Morgan for the curiosity, ownership, and care she brings to her work on the Finance Team. Morgan consistently looks beyond the task in front of her to understand how her work connects to others, asking thoughtful questions and taking the time to make sure changes are made the right way.

How Morgan Demonstrates Curiosity

Recently, Morgan noticed a trend that did not seem right. Instead of simply correcting the issue and moving on, she paused to ask why it was happening. She dug into the situation, partnered with a teammate to confirm what she was seeing, and helped bring the right people together to identify the cause and improve the process moving forward.

Her approach prevented future issues, saved time, and created a better way forward for the team. It also reflected something her teammates have come to appreciate: Morgan understands the ripple effect of her work and does not hesitate to reach out when a change may impact someone else’s process.

Curiosity and Ownership in Action

Morgan’s curiosity leads to stronger outcomes. She asks great questions that help the Finance Team stop, think, and evaluate how work is being done. She is quick to learn new tasks, open to understanding the bigger picture, and intentional about how her role fits into Clickstop as a whole.

One teammate shared that Morgan “continues to reach out and ask questions before making any changes” to confirm there will not be an impact on work that has already been processed or reconciled. Another shared appreciation for the positive energy Morgan brings to the team and the way her questions challenge others to keep improving.

How Morgan’s approach reflects the Clickstop Code:

  • Curious – Morgan asks thoughtful questions, looks for root causes, and seeks to understand how work is being done so the team can continue improving.
  • Responsible – Morgan recognizes the ripple effect of her work and takes ownership by checking in with teammates before making changes that may impact other processes.
  • Impactful – Morgan’s willingness to question, learn, and collaborate helped improve a process, prevent future issues, and create time savings for the team.

That is ownership in action: noticing when something does not seem right, asking better questions, involving others, and staying focused on outcomes that make the work stronger for everyone. For the curiosity she brings to solving problems, the care she shows for how her work impacts others, and the positive energy she contributes to the Finance Team, we are proud to celebrate Morgan as a Q2 Core Trait Award recipient.
