7 of the 11 award winners of Clickstop's quarterly employee awards.

At Clickstop, our Q1 Rock Star Reveal event was held Thursday, April 20 to celebrate employees who demonstrated a significant impact on the company by living out our core values. In addition to announcing the top honor, the Rock Star Award, we announced winners for 10 categories: Communicate, Courageous, Curious, Decisive, Enthusiastic, Impactful, Opportunistic, Responsible, Strategic, and Safety. From the 135 nominations submitted by Clickstop employees, here are the first-quarter winners and a summary of their impact.

Communicate

Jamie Farmer won the Communicate Award.

She consistently communicates safety concerns to leadership and the team and has made strategic improvements in the packing area to ensure ergonomic safety. Jamie’s willingness to voice her opinions and hold others accountable has led to process improvements and increased safety for the team. Her consistent search for opportunities to improve and offer suggestions has improved the safety of her team.

Courageous

Kayla Micek was the recipient of the Courageous Award.

She quickly learned all areas of the manufacturing team and saw opportunities on the second shift team. After being named 2nd shift leader, Kayla courageously set expectations and addressed concerns during a meeting with her team. She is honest, trustworthy, and doesn’t hesitate to make tough decisions. Kayla’s great work ethic and leadership skills have earned her the respect of the team, making her a vital team member during the afternoon on the first shift.

Curious

Bri Heineman won the Curious Award.

She cares deeply about Clickstop’s success and that of her team. Bri is encouraging but realistic, and she brings new ideas to the table to increase efficiency, improve employee morale and satisfaction, and focus on improving processes. Her optimism is infectious, which is important for the team at this time.

Decisive

Carly Grimm received the Decisive Award.

Since becoming the manager of the service team, Carly has drawn a new level of enthusiasm and engagement from the existing team members. Even during unexpected staffing difficulties, she has been proactive in communicating strategically on an individual and team basis to be in tune with the team’s overall needs. Carly’s approach to problem-solving and team building has resulted in the current service team members’ high level of enthusiasm, engagement, and collaboration.

Enthusiastic

Stephanie Pierce won the Enthusiastic Award.

She is the ultimate team player. She is currently involved with two inside sales teams. She balances the execution of the role between each of the brands with thorough quality and maximum enthusiasm. She’s also been highly involved in the new hire training for the last four team members we have added between the two teams, driving from Dubuque to be onsite to support them. Stephanie knows that for Clickstop to keep growing, employees need to grow too and is doing what she can to make sure they are doing this in a healthy, proactive, and meaningful way through her role on the inside sales team, hosting learning & development events, and beyond.

Impactful

The Q1 Impactful winner was Heather Hansen.

The service team has been down three team members and Heather has really stepped up to the plate! She has emerged as an informal leader in big ways. She is proactive in noticing issues, is continuously enthusiastic about her work, and stays optimistic with a large workload. Our monthly metrics amaze us each month by how many calls she is taking on. During this time of being short-staffed, Heather jumped into the daunting task of managing the team’s dashboard without hesitation. She truly cares about the success of our team while growing herself professionally and personally.

Opportunistic

Our Opportunistic winner is Cassie Schwarzenstein.

Cassie is highly impactful in her role and very dependable. She has gone out of her way to host learning & development events and help individuals become more efficient in their roles. Cassie has jumped into a data warehouse project to help get that tool off the ground and help find a proactive solution for our brand websites. She’s saved team members time through automations created in Excel, macros, and pivot tables, and created cost savings by creating sustainable and repeatable solutions.

Responsible

Dane Denker received the Responsible Award.

Dane has worked closely with teams in Urbana, IA, and Simpsonville, SC to review and implement changes to enhance safety, and all done with a sense of urgency. Since the beginning of the year, he was a huge help traveling every other week to South Carolina to support the leadership opening there and starting the first week of March he took over as interim manager. He’s supporting our safety goals and working to get the current team measuring themselves to the right expectations and meet expectations for the quality of work output that should be expected.

Strategic

Lindsey Mullenbach won the Strategic Award.

While being at Clickstop for about a year, she has been extremely consistent in her ownership of new opportunities. Lindsey has:

  • Recognized opportunities to improve our due diligence processes and created documentation to set us up for success moving forward.
  • Been instrumental in the team’s organization by creating clear ownership, efficiencies, and automation across the entire team.
  • Spent time evaluating tools and processes and removed unnecessary tools, and therefore expenses, spending the necessary but tedious time to get all our data transferred over.
  • Her impact has been foundational to the success of the Clean Laundry brand.
Safety

Nate Van Slyke was the winner of the Safety Award.

Nate transformed some of the most disorganized aisles of Clickstop’s Warehouse in Urbana into a safer and more ergonomic environment for the shipping teams. He achieved this by pulling out all the inventory, reorganizing the racking, changing the way inventory is stored, and then putting everything back together. He was vocal in advocating for safety initiatives and shared safety tips and reminders in daily huddles, which kept safety top of mind for everyone. His high safety expectations for himself and others led to improved safety culture and accountability within the team.
