Q1 Communicate & Impactful Core Trait Winner: Megan Dudley

To create an impact, there must be force applied. At Clickstop, being Impactful means applying force against the status quo. We’re not striving for OK; we’re striving for greatness.
Pace, quality and volume of work are all things that matter greatly as you read through the action statements listed under our core trait, “Impactful”. Possessing a can-do attitude and completing tasks on time are also key behaviors. Ultimately, an Impactful employee is someone who seeks great results, and makes them happen. Our Impactful winner, Megan Dudley, has done just this.
Embodying the Traits
Megan is new to her role as Director of Inside Sales for USCC and has made an immediate impact. While demonstrating the behaviors associated with “Impactful,” she has also been excellent in her communication, resulting in additional recognition for the “Communicate” trait.
As a member of the inside sales team, she took ownership to achieve the right results as a new manager. She avoided analysis-paralysis, and with a positive attitude, brought enthusiasm and awareness to what needed to be done, accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. According to her team, any time she would see and identify a need or goal, she got the ball rolling immediately!
“She’s not only driven to great results for herself, she’s mobilized a team around her and supported our organization in improving our employee and customer experience,” says one of her peers.
Clarity and Conciseness
In terms of communication, those who listen, ask thoughtful questions and articulate themselves in a concise manner are first in mind when thinking of those who embody “communication.” This is Megan.
As the new manager of our inside sales group, there were numerous positive comments from her team and her leaders about the quality of communication she was providing as a teammate and leader.

Megan’s overall commitment to listening, delegating and clarifying work with attention to pace and quality has been done with excellence. How did you feel upon being recognized for this award?
Totally shocked and blessed.
What do you believe has led up to this recognition? (What behaviors have you demonstrated?)
Communication: I feel if anything, I over-communicate, so that fits me well! It is my favorite core trait. I feel if I over communicate, that is better than not communicating enough.
Impactful: I am a list person and very task oriented. Before maternity leave I was very open with my team about the plan and took on a lot of extra tasks to ensure everything would go smoothly when I was out. I like to check things off the list, so getting tasks done in a timely manner is very important to me.
Have you had struggles within these Core Traits? If so, what have they been and how did you overcome them?
With communication I sometimes over communicate and share information that may not be as important to the recipient. Combining that with impactful, I at times need to slow down and think about a response or the right way to do something before checking it off my list. When taking the time to analyze the situation before communicating back, I have found success.
Why are these Core Traits important to the success of Clickstop?
These are both very important because without proper communication we would only be spinning our tires. To move forward we are expected to have the conversations – even if they are hard. Being impactful and doing tasks on time is also very important. As a company we rely on each other a lot and doing tasks and communicating back is part of how we work.
What can we find you doing when you’re not at work?
Raising a tribe of girl bosses. Lol. Really, they are bossy! Chasing our two daughters Brinley and Bristol, hunting and fishing, riding horses, gardening, and pinning things on Pinterest that I will probably never use.

The people! They are friends that have become family!
If you could live in any period of history when would it be and why?
The Laura Ingles Wilder Days! I have a love hate relationship with technology and the basic simple fun those kids had when growing up excites me.
Tell me 10 things I’d see when I walk in your door?
Brinley, Bristol, Kevin, deer mounts on the wall, a black bear mount, lots of toys, family pictures, amazon boxes, fresh flowers from our farm, workout equipment.
What TV / Netflix Show currently has your attention?
I am always a bachelor/bachelorette fan! Love Grace and Frankie, Heartland, All American, Good Girls, Dead to Me on Netflix (I got in a lot of shows while on maternity leave)
What’s a movie you can practically quote from start to finish? (Give us a quote)
Sweet Home Alabama- “You have a baby… in a bar!”
Tell us about your first cell phone? What were the features?
It wasn’t even a flip phone, it was a blue us cell phone with a pull-out antenna and one of the 1st phones you could text on. You had to pay per text you sent and received. I remember getting in trouble for my friends sending me texts and I had to pay for it.
What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
Hobby Farm/Home Reno- Home renovation and decorating/land management/ greenhouse/ land conservation- A Joanna Gaines mixed with an Eva Shockey
What fictional place would you most like to go?
Narnia! I think that movie is so cool!
What book do you most remember from your childhood?
The Bread Winner. It was a book our teacher read to us in 3rd grade about the depression and how a girl made bread to try to make money for her family. Not sure why that book stuck but it was an eye opener for me at a young age.
