Unlocking Potential: The Growth of Carly Grimm

Carly Grimm’s journey from a reserved individual contributor to Clickstop’s Q4 Rock Star is a testament to the power of personal growth and self-discovery. Join us as we celebrate Carly’s remarkable transformation and explore how she embodies Clickstop’s core values while driving growth for herself, her team, and the company.

Growth of Self

Carly’s journey began in 2021 when she joined Clickstop as a quieter member of the Customer Service team. However, Carly’s approach to her career was anything but passive. “Carly took a very humble and courageous approach to preparing for what was next,” shares Carly’s former manager, Tammy Karr. “She sought out feedback and owned learning and growing from it. She didn’t wait for what was next, she explored, asked questions, and put the work in to be ready!”

Her transformation into a confident leader became evident when she assumed formal leadership responsibilities in the Fall of 2022. As noted by Eric Japenga, Vice President of Sales & Service, Carly’s transition was marked by a newfound confidence in her communication skills. Despite her reserved nature in the past, Carly embraced her role with vigor and determination, demonstrating a keen ability to lead effectively.

Carly’s commitment to personal and professional development further shone through with her successful completion of Kirkwood’s Leadership Development Academy in the Spring of 2023. This milestone underscored her dedication to continuous growth and readiness to take on new challenges.

Growth of Others

Carly’s strategic thinking and people-centered approach have been instrumental in navigating challenges within the Customer Service team. In 2023, the team took on the responsibility of supporting two additional Clickstop brands. Carly developed a plan to seamlessly integrate the brands’ service needs without needing additional staff.

By strategically allocating resources and fostering engagement within her team, Carly ensured everyone had the knowledge and skills required to excel. Her emphasis on active listening and open communication created a culture of trust where team members felt empowered to provide input and take on new responsibilities. The team took on these responsibilities while also working to streamline processes and implement innovative solutions.

Growth of Clickstop

Beyond the Service team, Carly is positively influencing other parts of the company. By taking on new responsibilities for the Pepper Joe’s and Clean Laundry brands, she freed up resources in other departments, allowing them to focus on core initiatives. This embodies Clickstop’s employee-owner mindset and demonstrates Carly’s understanding of the bigger picture.

Carly’s dedication to Clickstop’s values, strategic thinking, and ability to motivate her team have contributed significantly to the company’s success. We have no doubt that Carly will continue to make a positive impact at Clickstop, and we eagerly anticipate her future growth within the organization.

“Carly really just needs resources and insight. I think she’s a very true definition of a manager who is able to own the success or failure of her team.”

– Eric Japenga, Vice President of Sales & Service
