Earlier this year, the spotlight turned to our East Coast Distribution Center in South Carolina to recognize someone who has made driving results part of his daily work: Landon Burns.
Seeing the Need, Taking the Lead
Impactful employees don’t wait for a list of instructions when things get complicated. They step up and lead. While working to fulfill part of our largest order in history, Landon demonstrated what it means to perform at a high level under pressure.
As a member of the receiving team, Landon identified potentially critical issues with the first shipment of product. Instead of letting the problem pass or assuming someone else would catch it, he took immediate ownership. He stopped what he was doing and proactively connected the dots between departments to find a solution.
