Why Candidates Love Interviewing with Clickstop (Even When They Don’t Get the Job)
Looking for a new career can feel exhaustingly transactional.
Job seekers often get trapped in a frustrating cycle. They face “ghosting,” one-way recorded video calls, and cold, automated rejection emails from nameless no-reply inboxes.
At Clickstop, we reject that approach. Our culture is our ultimate product. It inspires, aligns, and attracts great people to our mission. Because of that belief, our hiring process is built on real human relationships, not an administrative checklist.
Earlier this year, we recognized our Talent Acquisition Specialist, Carlyn Johnson, for changing this experience for the better. Her efforts earned her our Strategic Core Trait Award. The results show exactly how Clickstop balances great efficiency with humanity.
The First Impression

But as our company grows, Carlyn noticed a major challenge. Our hiring managers were stuck multitasking. They had to balance deep candidate conversations with frantic note-taking.
True to Clickstop’s Strategic core trait, Carlyn didn’t rely on a hunch to fix it. Instead, she gathered data. She analyzed how much time our teams spent on the hiring process. She also tracked exactly how long applicants stayed in each stage of our pipeline as a result.
Her goal was clear. She wanted to protect our team’s schedule without losing the human-first experience that makes Clickstop unique.
Enter BrightHire: AI Powering Real Presence
Carlyn found and launched a new platform called BrightHire. Operating right inside our current systems, the tool uses mindful AI to capture clean notes and summarize scorecards directly into our candidate system.
By removing that administrative burden, Carlyn transformed the experience for hiring teams and candidates:
- True Human Presence: Freed from their keyboards, interviewers can look candidates in the eye, listen deeper, and fully engage.
- Transparent Evaluation: Hiring teams can easily revisit an interview between stages. A manager can listen to the initial phone screen before a candidate reaches their desk. This eliminates duplicate questions and leads to a more meaningful conversation.
- Elevated Coaching: High-performing sales teams review calls to sharpen their skills. Now, our interview teams use these insights to do the exact same thing.
Experience Over Outcome
Carlyn’s focus ensures every applicant is treated as a person, not a checkbox. She is relentlessly committed to clear communication, quick follow-up, and human connection. Because of that, candidates regularly report having an exceptional experience. In fact, it is common for candidates who don’t get the job to follow up and praise our process. They routinely highlight how transparent and encouraging it felt to work with Clickstop.
“The tool allows us to focus on being present with the candidates and not on taking notes. It may seem small, but we now have more capacity to dive deeper with candidates in the limited time we have with them. It also gives transparency to the process in a way that creates awareness and alignment.”
— Tammy Karr, Marketing Director, Award Nominator
When an employee-owner uses data to strip away busywork, it gives our teams room to breathe. It lets us focus on what matters most: the person sitting across from us. Carlyn makes sure that from the very first interview, candidates experience a culture that respects their time and values real connection.
Congratulations, Carlyn, on being our Q1 Strategic Award Winner! Thank you for ensuring every person who interacts with Clickstop walks away knowing exactly what makes us different.
