Aligning Focus on What Matters Most

Decisiveness requires courage, humility, curiosity, and objectivity. It’s an exploration that produces timely and effective action.

Dane Denker exemplified this during Q3. In taking a strategic and objective approach to his work, he is setting aside emotion and helping to determine appropriate courses of action. This has been impactful within key manufacturing projects.

Identify the Target and Create Focus

He stops to ask great questions and challenge direction if not clearly aligning with end goals. While supporting safety and efficiency within manufacturing processes, he has demonstrated decisiveness on floor layouts, materials, and equipment. This has been done by maintaining a focus on the goal of providing a quality product for our customers.

He also contributed production support in manufacturing because we were shorthanded and had orders to fulfill. Additionally, as Certificates of Conformity are requested, he is supporting the brand promise through prompt communication with the sales team. All of this is only possible because he separates what must be done well now, and what can be improved later, while wisely articulating the value of each.

His decisiveness was also on display during the Derecho. The oversight of safety procedures is no longer a primary responsibility of his, but on the day of the Derecho, Dane tasked himself with getting ahold of team members onsite. Then he communicated with his manager and other leaders to ensure they knew what was happening. He saw what needed to be done, acted, and communicated calmly and decisively.

Dane, your decisiveness is helping us improve and grow. We are pleased to recognize you as our Q3 ‘Decisive’ award winner. Well done!
